YMCA St Helens Welcomes New Community Engagement Manager

YMCA St Helens is excited to welcome Matt Moreton as Community Engagement Manager, a role designed to reach out to all the members of the St Helens community and develop new ways of supporting, serving, and inspiring across the borough.

For 135 years, YMCA St Helens has been making a difference and providing a helping hand where it’s needed most – now providing support & advice services, supported housing, family work, health and wellbeing activities, and training & education programs.

Matt Moreton said ‘I am excited to be joining an organisation that wants to be at the heart of supporting the community of St Helens as we move from a period of hopelessness and isolation into a time hope and togetherness. I look forward to meeting the many different people and groups that make St Helens such an amazing place, and hearing their visions for the future.’

Matt has a 22-year track record of supporting young people, adults and organisations to reach their full potential, with a particular passion for activities which reduce loneliness, and provide skills to survive and thrive when it comes to our mental health.

Justin Hill (CEO of YMCA St Helens) said ‘We are looking forward to having Matt as part of our senior leadership team, bringing his wealth of experience and knowledge to help us build on our past and support even more people from this community of which we are proud to be part.’
