University of Liverpool researchers have launched a survey to hear how St Helens residents feel about where they live. Working with St Helens Council, the researchers are keen to understand which local services, facilities and amenities residents use, how they access them, and what might be improved.
Learn the basics of bowls with fun and friendly Bowl for Health group sessions. Suitable for newcomers, with all equipment provided - anybody can join in and no previous experience required!

St Helens Sports Development are delivering new and free walking sports sessions over the spring/summer at Victoria Park in St Helens. The session is part of their Fit Forever programme, which provides fun and social physical activity sessions to older adults across St Helens.

Talking about how you are doing is one of the vital ways to help with your mental health. That is why St Helens Wellbeing have installed happy to chat benches at 25 locations across the borough where people can take a seat and chat to others as a way to support each other.
The benches have been put in popular beauty spots including Sankey Valley, Taylor Park and Mesnes Park along with two all weather benches at Sherdley Park.

Household Support Fund to support vulnerable residents this winter
Residents in St Helens Borough facing financial hardship this winter will be supported by a new grant to help buy food, pay utility biils and meet other essential living costs.
Explanation of the Local Plan and Main Modifications
The new Local Plan will set out how much new development for housing, employment and other uses should take place in the Borough, where this development should take place and policies to be taken account of when assessing planning applications. Once adopted, the Local Plan will be used to guide development in the Borough.
Merseyside Police, St Helens Council, Torus and Saints Community Development Foundation are facilitating a community event for the residents of Parr, called ‘Parr-ticipate,’ that will take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium, 18:30-21:30hrs, on Wednesday 8th December 2021. As a result of further funding, a total of £30,000 has now been made available for community groups in the Parr area and this event will give the residents of Parr an opportunity to decide how it should be spent and which groups should be successful in the process.
