The charitable objects of Halton Disability Partnership are: “The relief of people with disabilities or long-term conditions in Halton and surrounding areas.”
Halton Disability Partnership aspires to provide the typical activities of a User Led Organsiation (ULO) (‘Commissioning to develop and sustain user-led organisations’, SCIE, 2010):
information and advice
advocacy and peer support
support in using personal budgets and direct payments
assistance with self assessment and support planning
support in employing personal assistants
equality training
campaigning
co-producing policies and services with local statutory agencies.
