M.A.L.S. Merseyside

M.A.L.S. Merseyside is a local charity whose purpose is "To be the training provider of choice". In pursuing our mission we will deliver value to the Local Education Authority through a flexible and consultative approach. To reduce crime and create a safer community. To our young people by respecting their individual needs and providing a service that ensures their needs are met. To local communities in the Merseyside area through involvement in local community activities and helping to provide mature, skilled and responsbile skilled young people ready for employment or further education. To offer a service of support to bereaved families of homocide. We deliver citizenship programme for young people who are on the verge of exclusion. These young people are refered to us via schools both in Knowsley and in St Helens. We also go out and deliver crime prevention programmes and workshop from a victims point of view into schools, youth offending services, prisons and secure units. We offer training courses for family liason officers educating them on how to deal with bereaved families who have lost loved ones to crime.
