Parr Participatory Funding

29 October 2021

Merseyside Police, St Helens Council, Torus and Saints Community Development Foundation are facilitating a community event for the residents of Parr, called ‘Parr-ticipate,’ that will take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium, 18:30-21:30hrs, on Wednesday 8th December 2021. As a result of further funding, a total of £30,000 has now been made available for community groups in the Parr area and this event will give the residents of Parr an opportunity to decide how it should be spent and which groups should be successful in the process.

They are inviting community groups who are based in Parr, or whose projects benefit the residents of Parr, to bid for up to £2000 of the £30,000 fund. Bidding criteria was set by residents of Parr during previously publicised public meetings. A public vote will take place at the Parr-ticipate event which will decide which community groups the funding is awarded to, with successful applicants being notified on the night.

They would like to encourage as many groups as possible to enter this process and take part in what should be an exciting and rewarding opportunity.
