Halton & St Helens VCA have been asked to circulate the following information on behalf of colleagues at Halton Borough Council:
Halton Borough Council has recently commissioned a new service to support children, young people and families with English as an Additional Language (EAL). A key element of the service is an EAL training schedule, which is attached. The schedule includes an EAL introductory training programme, Meeting the needs of minority ethnic families in Halton, for multi-agency partners.
Each EAL training programme will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, in three x one-hour twilight sessions across consecutive weeks. The training is free of charge.
To book a place on a training programme, please email Louise Yates at louise.yates@halton.gov.uk with the delegate’s name and job title, and the programme title and dates required.
For any queries about the training, please contact Julie Karmy at julie.karmy@halton.gov.uk or on 0151 511 7323.
