With over 20 years of experience working within the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector in various roles, Ann-Marie has contributed to the work of Halton & St Helens VCA since 2000 and has held a senior manager position since 2004.

Ann-Marie’s skills set, knowledge and experience has been an asset to the organisation from developing, delivering and evaluating successful training and learning programmes through to providing consultancy services within the sector on various key topics such as strategic development, business planning, social auditing, quality and quality assurance.

Her qualifications and professional development includes: Level 4 Operational Management, Level 4 Learning & Development, Accredited Performance Coaching and level 2 British Sign Language.

Ann-Marie is a highly skilled facilitator able to work with a range of individuals at all levels enabling authentic conversations to develop using a variety of methods including graphic recording which captures conversations in pictures and illustrations.

An example of her recent consultancy work is a piece of work commissioned by a local community centre to identify the financial impact through social value, in which various methodology was used to ascertain the monetary value generated through the interventions and services delivered by the community centre.

A major part of Ann-Marie’s current role is to lead on capacity building and development for organisations working towards the STAR Standard Quality Award.  She utilises her many skills to work effectively with Trustees, Staff and volunteers to ensure organisations are compliant with charity law and company law, as well as assisting them in the development of the governance of the organisation.

  • Patient Engagement and Involvement Group (St Helens CCG) on behalf of Sally on a bimonthly basis
  • St Helens Safeguarding Children’s Board – Learning & Development, Policies & Procedures Sub Group – quarterly
